The Weinwirtschaft | Weingut Franz Keller is a dealer of wines and a bistro all in one: the head chef prepares innovative regional cuisine to accompany the sampling and purchase of wines from Germany, France and the new wine-world. This is a wonderful meeting place for after-work, while touring the city, or after the theatre. In the summer we also serve on the terrace with a panorama view over the Schlossgarten.
Very good wines
Reception: pleasant. As I was waiting for my train, I just had a little problem: which dish to order and which wine from the region would go with it. The advice was perfect: a Maultaschen dish with a good Riesling. The setting is also great. Instead of taking a dessert I took a digestive (pear brandy) from Baden. To recommend.
In mid-December I made a reservation for two people for a whole meal in the wine bar. We wanted to go to the restaurant first, but unfortunately there wasn't any more. So you probably sold us the leftovers in the wine bar! The staff was very friendly, the wine selection was very good but the rest was a disaster. For 35 € per person, it is simply a joke! We each got 2 small pieces of old and gray warmed-up whole the size of half a cigarette packet with a ready-made sauce without a crispy skin. A little red cabbage (that was great) and 2 small dumplings (greasy) the whole thing without a refill, but nobody wanted it anyway. After a very short time I no longer had an appetite, which didn't seem to bother anyone, because I felt that everyone knew what was going on. Have a drink with wine, but never eat there again!
We were eating together with friends about the "voucher book Stuttgart" in the wine industry. We would not have found the small location alone. In the end, we were all the more impressed. The food was exceptionally good. Small, but very, very fine the menu. The wine list (and advice) wonderful. The service was just great. Subtle, but funny at the right time without ever being inappropriate or pushy We will definitely come back one day. A real insider tip.
Very noble
Food is tasty and very tasty. Looks good and "properly" cooked for our taste. Wine selection remarkable: Is also "celebrated" strongly. Unfortunately, the restaurant suffers from the location (view of Stuttgart perhaps the ugliest underpass and concrete desert) and the service. Dear Franz Keller-Restaurant - for the price (main dishes, also pork, 25-29 EUR) the service has to be much more attentive and friendly. Sometimes there was no service at all, but ran between the various hotel restaurants and not only we had to wave the service over to order something. And in a wine restaurant, the service should be a bit homely and personable. Maybe a type thing, but it was very hypothermic to arrogant (in a half empty restaurant).
Very nice noble atmosphere. Staff very courteous. Great wine selection. High Preisig.
The best roasted onions and the best homemade spaetzle ever with a great sauce!
Good atmosphere and very tasty dishes paired with a very good service. Highly recommended.
Big portions.. It was ok
Very nice staff, great ambience, great food and perfect drinks
Nice staff, good dessert, good wine, nice ambience, but unfortunately was the overpriced Zwiebelrostbraten one of the worst, we have ever eaten (lots of fat and fat).
Very good food for reasonable price, starversdachtig. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and nice jazz music
Innovative, modern cuisine with a traditional twist, which succeeds excellently. It is nicely served, great wines, good service and a beautiful ambience. Value for money is right!
Old fashioned ambience, food okay but overpriced for the quality offered. The restaurant only has real added value for wine fans who want to try their hand at the huge menu. Service was very good during our visit.
Nice ambience, great wine, great service
Very good restaurant with a high ambience and priced a bit higher. Very successful creation with Maultasche on roast roast. Good taste. Servings also sufficient. Unfortunately, despite the best weather, the terrace was not open, although we had requested in advance.
Very good kitchen and very friendly staff. Interesting menu and well-stocked wine list. In terms of price, the wine industry belongs to the higher level, as well as in terms of taste. Can I recommend it to anyone with a clear conscience. ?
Food is delicious. Down to earth cuisine but with special features. I was positively surprised by every dish. The service is very nice, but at least a bit disorganized during our visit.
Very good quality! It's a bit pricy but totally worth every euro. If you are looking for a restaurant with really good expensive wine and delicious food - this is the right place. Staff seem to be very well-trained.
With the tastiest Zwiebelrostbraten I have ever eaten. An excellently trained service staff. A wonderful shop.
Great wine but the food left a lot to be desired. Mixed starter plate was good. French onion soup was completely uncaramelised and very salty. Bouillabaisse was slightly overcooked prawn and mackrel in what seemed to be a bouillon rather than any sort of bisque. The ravioli were more like sausage rolls with a pasta outside. The wines were great though, resurging the Spätburgundrer which had an earthiness underneath the brooding berries. Lovely service staff.
Great place. Everything is perfect: Friendly, competent service Very good wines Dreamlike food Price / performance ok.
Very interesting wine list and very tasty food - a clear recommendation near Stuttgart Central Station
